The story behind Frutty Fro Yo

Our story is rooted in family entrepreneurship, creativity, and an enduring commitment to quality — a legacy that has evolved across generations.

Frutty Fro Yo was founded by Travis and Tamaris de Jong, whose entrepreneurial spirit first took shape through Asian Aquariums (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s pioneering exporters of tropical fish. Their drive for craftsmanship later led to the creation of Woody Wood Creators (Pvt) Ltd, a bespoke furniture and interiors company known for its artistry and precision.

As the family’s ventures grew, Hamish de Jong managed operations in Sri Lanka while Annalease de Jong expanded into India, opening a children’s furniture retail store in Chennai and successfully taking the business online through leading e-commerce platforms.

Today, the family’s passion for innovation continues with Frutty Fro Yo — a proudly Sri Lankan Greek yogurt brand crafted from fresh local milk with no preservatives.

From product development to distribution, Annalease leads operations in Sri Lanka, ensuring every batch meets the highest standards of freshness and taste. Meanwhile, Hamish drives international business development and global expansion from New Zealand.

From tropical fish to interiors, and now to Greek yogurt, our journey embodies a spirit of hard work, creativity, and family values — proving that when passion guides purpose, the results are always extraordinary.
